About Me
A bio with some depth…
In one word, Sarah is a storyteller. She has been a journalist, blogger, content writer, screenwriter and stand up comedian. Sarah graduated summa cum laude from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a BA in journalism and a double minor in screenwriting and theatre.
As a writer, Sarah worked as a photojournalist in Haiti, Ecuador, and Nepal, writing with a focus on global poverty. Three years later, she moved to Los Angeles to continue her love for storytelling.
As an actor, Sarah has appeared in 20+ national commercials, short and feature films. In her most recent project, she played the role of Pam Dawber in the Robin Williams screen-test that went viral.
Sarah is also deeply involved in the push to end mental health stigmas. As a mental health advocate, Sarah is the creator of Funny People Cry Too, a sold-out storytelling show where naturally funny people tell stories about their mental health. Sarah champions mental health awareness as a peer educator through the national program, End The Silence and has spoken to crowds of 400+ as a mental health public speaker.
When she’s not writing, memorizing lines, or teaching about mental health, you can find her on a hiking trail or trying out a new coffee shop. She’s an outdoor addict, game show fanatic and feels most at home at a stand up comedy show or lost in the great outdoors.
